Hi! My name is Tara Ihm. I am a senior at UW-La Crosse and will be graduating in May 2003 with a degree in English education. I am from Barneveld, a small town near Madison. I have been here, in La Crosse, for four years. I work at Buzzard Billy’s Flying Carp Café where I am a server/bartender. I also work at the campus childcare center.

I am the youngest of six kids, all who are much older than I am. I have four brothers (Jeff, Rick, Kevin, and Jason) and a sister, Pam. I also have four nephews (Tyler, Travis, Brandon, and Connor) and two nieces (Marissa and Kyla). My parents run a large dairy farm and have a world record cow for production of milk.

My life is more exciting now than ever. I am two weeks shy of finishing classes and just a short time away from Student teaching. I will find out very soon where I will be Student teaching. I also just got engaged. My fiance. Dave, works at the La Crosse Tribune in the Sports Department. We are in the process of picking a wedding date, but it is much more stressful than I ever thought it would, or should, be.

I intend to stay in La Crosse for at least another year. I would love to move away, ideally Boston, but realistically North Carolina or Connecticut. I only want to move away until I begin a family. Eventually, I would like to live in the Madison area.

I have always been an adventurous person and an avid risk-taker. I plan to go skydiving this summer and travel to California to visit a friend. I also want to ride in a hot air balloon. I want to travel, be happy, and continue to explore all of my options.
